JBL FEST 2019 - AR INSTAGRAM FILTERS

JBL Fest is an annual 3-day event hosted by JBL in Las Vegas, featuring live performances, exclusive parties, and other branded activations.

With the wild excitement around Instagram AR Filters and the recently opened Spark AR platform, we wanted to explore the potential for JBL’s participation.

DESIGN // MUSIC

The COVID-19 pandemic made people around the world stay at home and live like never before. This project is a combination of art and drumming, where I have recreated famous album art – from scratch – incorporating the coronavirus molecule as a prominent visual element. In addition, I recorded videos of myself covering a song from each album on drums. Song choices were made based off their effect on me during the pandemic. Whether they are uplifting, resilient, etc., these songs have gotten me through the pandemic and hopefully will inspire others the same way.
